Hyde Park Solutions are delighted to be sponsoring Future Proof the next APM conference. HPS are equally delighted that Matthew Taylor, chief executive of The RSA – Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce will also be taking to the stage. With less than a month to go Matthew completes the day’s programme of world-class speakers. Their insights from the long experience of real-world lessons learnt will offer invaluable insight on what it means for a business to be ready for tomorrow’s challenges.
In July 2017 Matthew published the report ‘Good Work: the Taylor review of modern practices’; an independent review into modern employment. It was commissioned by the Prime Minister. In it he states: “It is vital to individuals and the health of our economy that everyone feels they have realistically attainable ways to strengthen their future work prospects and that they can, from the beginning to the end of their working life, record and enhance the capabilities developed in formal and informal learning and in on the job and off the job activities.” The steps outlined in the review that offer routes towards fair and decent work with realistic scope for developing and fulfilment resonate with many of the aims of the APM Future Proof conference.
Following on from the lasting message in PWC’s Michael Moore keynote speech at the APM Scottish Conference 2018 where he highlighted the vast complexity of contemporary business challenges. “Just looking at Facebook and Carillion today shows the complexity of what we are grappling with is huge….” said Michael. “However, resources are constrained and people are in short supply” he added.
In an environment where businesses will need far-reaching change to survive, Future Proof sponsored by HPS will explore how we make sure there are enough of the right people with the right skills to handle such complex projects.
The conference #apmconf will take place at Central Hall, Westminster, Storey’s Gate, London, SW1H 9NH on Wednesday 25th April 2018. Book your place
