Women in project Management

There is a wise old saying that if you want something doing ask a busy woman, this almost certainly holds true in project management too. And with real pressures on businesses to be more transparent about wages and pay packages recently, any future looking business has to include some vision for the breaking of the glass ceiling for women across all sectors of industry.

HPS are delighted that a delegation of talented women from our experienced Project and Portfolio Management team will be attending the Association for Project Management, (APM) National Conference for Women in Project Management 2017 this September, come and meet the team on stand 6. HPS is also one of the official stream sponsors.

The Chartered body for the project profession’s yearly event is inspirational and is sponsored by BEA Systems and aimed at the progressive project professional. Most project and portfolio management currently depends on a large and diverse pool of talented professionals and this is only likely to increase if we look to the future.

The APM National Conference for Women in Project Management says; “Those working across projects, programmes and portfolios have a critical role to play in providing the breadth and depth of capability needed to ensure project success in the UK and beyond.”

The event will draw on inspirational keynotes, thought-leaders and innovative employers, the conference will provide delegates with insight and inspiration, encouraging them to come and develop their skills within the project management profession – explaining and demonstrating how the Project Management profession itself will in return benefit as a result of encouraging more women.
